What are the 3 attributes of the Initiate?

Answer from the V.M. Samael Aun Weor.

The Ninth Arcanum of the Tarot is the prudent and wise hermit who is covered with the protective robe of Apollonius which symbolizes prudence; he holds onto the staff of the Patriarchs and illuminates himself with the lamp of Hermes (wisdom). The alchemist must always perform the will of the Father; he must be humble to attain wisdom and after having attained it he must be even more humble, more than anyone else. It is better to be silent and die (EN: the dead of our psychological defects).

Answer from the Magazine "The Wisdom of the Being".

Every initiate must possess three attributes: the lamp of Hermes Trismegistus, the cloak of Apollonius and the staff of the patriarchs.

The Trismegistus lamp comes to symbolize the search for light, enlightenment on the path, on the path of Initiation.

The staff of the patriarchs is the Kundalini itself, that serpentine fire that we must awaken so that it rises up our spinal column and makes it reach the heart. This is the staff of Brahma and the scepter of the gods.

The mantle of Apollonius comes to represent the hermit of the tarot, prudent and wise who is wrapped in the protective mantle that symbolizes prudence.
