Why are patience and serenity so important?

See how important it is to be patient, to be serene. Thus, when one is working on the dissolution of an “I,” and there is no way to dissolve it because it has become very difficult (because there are such “I’s,” which are related to karma), one has no other choice but to multiply Patience and Serenity, until one succeeds.

But many are impatient, they want to eliminate this or that “I,” now, immediately, without PAYING THE “PRICE,” and that is absurd.

In the work on oneself, one needs to multiply Patience to infinity and Serenity to the limit; whoever does not know how to have Patience, whoever does not know how to be serene, fails on the Esoteric Path.

Observe yourselves in practical life: Are you impatient? Observe yourselves, do you know how to remain serene at the precise moment?

If you do not have these two precious virtues, then you have to work to obtain them. How? By eliminating the I's of impatience, eliminating, then, the I's of lack of serenity, of anger (the I's of anger are the ones who do not allow serenity).
