Why is it necessary to be poor in spirit to enter the kingdom of heaven?

When we acknowledge our own nothingness and inner misery, when we have the courage to revise our live, undoubtedly we come to know for ourselves that in no way do we have merits of any kind.

"Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven".

Poor in spirit or indigent in spirit, are really those who acknowledge their own nothingness, shamelessness and inner misery. Beings of that kind unquestionably receive the enlightenment.

"It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven".

It is ostensible that the mind which is enriched by so many merits, condecorations and medals, distinguished social virtues and complicated academic theories, is not poor in spirit and therefore, would never be able to enter the kingdom of heaven.

The treasure of faith becomes unpostponable in order to enter the Kingdom. As long as the psychological unfoldment has not occurred in each of us, FAITH is something more than impossible.

Today, civilization is totally governed by lunar forces, it has been completely corrupted, the greatest corruption and loss of all morality prevails in our world, there are wars everywhere. Renouncing the world implies abandoning all forms of desire, renouncing recognition, glory, and the ephemeral fame of the moment.

Give up all forms of vanity, arrogance and pride, all desire to stand out, to make yourself felt, to climb, to reach the top of the pyramid and feel more than others. If we want to return to the bosom of our father who is in secret, we must renounce all forms of pride, vanity and arrogance; to every desire to stand out and put ourselves above others. We must abandon all greed, all avarice for material things. The teacher Jesus said: “It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.”

As long as we are full of desires, attachments, arrogance, pride, vanities, desires of all kinds, we will be rich. If we want to enter the higher dimensions of nature, it is necessary to renounce all the attachments we have to this world. Only the “Humble in spirit,” that is, those who have died in themselves, will be able to see the kingdom of God.
